The EGT/WGT America250 Committee welcomes you to join us for one of our featured speakers. These are free, but registration is required and many will reach capacity.
March 26th - Presentation with Ned Donogue
Historian Ned Donogue discusses the role of Quakers during the American Revolution, how the war affected their daily lives, and how both sides of the conflict dealt with Quaker dissent.

April 18th - Presentation with Christopher Reardon and bus trip to the Museum of the American Revolution
Participants will start at the West Goshen Township Administration Building where historian Christopher Reardon will discuss strategies of the Revolutionary War and the objects of the British campaign for Philadelphia. Then the group will board a motorcoach with historian Jim Christ to visit the Museum of the American Revolution where they can participate in a scavenger hunt of people, places, and events from Chester County that played critical roles in our country’s founding.

July 18th - Battle of the Clouds and Paoli Massacre Presentation and Bus Tour
Participants start at the West Goshen Township Administration Building where historians Christopher Reardon and Jim Christ give an overview of Goshen’s own Battle of the Clouds and the Paoli Massacre. Then everyone boards a shuttle to check out the actual sites, concluding with a stop at the Paoli Battlefield before returning to West Goshen.
August 20th - An Evening with Inventor Ben Franklin
Historical reenactor Mike Kochen brings Benjamin Franklin to life with tales of his career as a scientist and inventor and some demonstrations of Franklin’s technological advances.

September 26th - Paoli Battlefield Tour
Through special arrangement with the Paoli Battlefield Foundation, residents of East Goshen and West Goshen can register to take a FREE guided tour of the Paoli Battlefield. (Note: Require approximately two miles of walking.)
